Interest
Gioia is a delightful town with a beautiful old town and an impressive castle. Tourism is almost completely absent. The visit focuses on the castle which houses the National Archaeological Museum. Also noteworthy is the Archaeological Park of Monte Sannace, not far from the town.
If you pass by Gioia do not forget to taste the famous mozzarella: among the best in Italy.

Half day itinerary
Gioia del Colle is a large town on the border between the provinces of Bari and Taranto
Together we will visit the cauterized historic center with its narrow streets and the Mother Church dedicated to Santa Maria Maggiore.
Next we reach the Castle not far away, inside which the National Archaeological Museum is housed with pieces coming mainly from the Archaeological Park of Monte Sannace.
